Ashtabula Harbor Beach Glass Festival

Wine & Walleye Festival
Date: August 28th & 29th, 2010

Walleye Tournament
6:00 am Saturday (Sun. blow-day)
Walleye Headquarters (WHQ) - Transient Docks, west side of the Ashtabula River
Cost: $35 before 8-2-10/$50 thereafter.  $2000 (Am) and $1000 (Pro) purse for the largest Walleye!  See W&W website for rules and regs.

Zack Broskey,  Ellie Herzog and Sam Stickland show off the winning catches in the 2009 Wine & Walleye Fishing Tournament.  Zack landed the 31 1/2” Steelhead weighing 11.45lbs taking the top prize for the Amateur Division Steelhead ($500 prize) and Sam turned in the tourney’s largest Walleye - a 31 ½”, 10.23lb catch ($2000 purse). 
 
The Pro Division winner, Carrie Lahey was aboard the “Reel Affair”.  Landing a 30 ½” 9.12lb Walleye to take 1st place and $1000.00 for the catch. Carrie is pictured here with J. Candle, the second place winner, in the Pro Division (29 3/8” 7.62lb Walleye).  Tom Atwood the Pro Division’s first place Steelhead ( 4.98lbs, 24 ½” long) is on the right.
